The Art of Living
The Art of Living is one of the world’s largest volunteer based, humanitarian and educational organizations, founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It is an educational and humanitarian movement engaged in stress-management and service initiatives. The organization operates globally in 156 countries and has touched the lives of over 370 million people.
To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, The Art of Living offers stress-elimination programs, which include breathing techniques, meditation and yoga. These programs have helped millions around the world to overcome stress, depression and Violent tendencies. The Art of Living movement has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all and environmental sustainability.
The International Association of Human Values
The International Association for Human Values (IAHV), a partner organization of the Art of Living, was founded by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, to foster globally a deeper understanding of the values that unite us as a human community. An international humanitarian NGO, IAHV implements social development programs aimed at increasing global equity and sustainable development initiatives. IAHV programs include disaster and trauma relief, river rejuvenation, sanitation, skill development, education, peace and conflict resolution, women empowerment and renewable energy.
